According to science, ice cream can make you happy, even when the temp is freezing! So to celebrate World Ice Cream Day (21 July) and the launch of the Norco Cape Byron Sticks range – Australia’s chunkiest and most indulgent ice cream experience – Norco is giving away thousands of FREE sticks of ice cream happiness.

It should come as no surprise that many Aussies are feeling the chill of the winter blues right now, as the country experiences record-breaking winter weather . But according to scientists , the happiness solution could be as simple as treating yourself to some delicious ice cream!

The good news for ice cream lovers across the country is that it’s been scientifically proven that indulging in ice cream can instantly boost your mood and vibe, and it’s thanks to the amino acids such as tryptophan – which is known to increase serotonin production – that can help keep you calm, satisfied, and happy – even in winter.

So for one day only, Sunday 21 July, Norco – Australia’s oldest and largest 100% farmer owned co-operative – is offering an enticing reason to leave the house, as ice cream lovers of all ages can experience a whole new sensory taste journey with their brand-new Cape Byron Sticks; a first-to-market ice cream innovation which boasts the biggest chunks of mix-ins on an individual ice cream stick available in three crave-worthy flavours – Chocolate Lava Brownie, Affogato, and Classic Cookie Dough. Yum!

To add some happiness and indulgence to an otherwise dreary winter’s day, Norco is calling on Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney residents to claim their FREE stick of ice cream happiness simply by heading to Westfield at Chermside, Fountain Gate, or Bondi Junction respectively.

With thousands of Cape Byron sticks up for grabs, the scientifically proven ice cream mood-boosters will be available outside of the Coles Supermarket from 10am until close (or while stocks last) and all you have to do to nab your freebie is to show your following Norco socials – Facebook, Insta or TikTok – on your phone.
